Inner working of workshops
Workshops are set up to teach you exactly what you want to learn. If you always stayed away from zippers because you felt they were too hard or just want to get better at using zippers in new and different ways, call us about taking a workshop. Most workshops are 1 1/2 to 2 hour sessions but we can tailor the class to what you would like to learn. NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY FOR ANY OF OUR WORKSHOPS OR CLASSES.

Single, 3-hour workshop (previously 2 hours. more time, same price!) - $65 Saturdays 10:00PM - 1:00PM or Sundays NOON - 3PM Learn the basics of hand and machine stitching and complete a simple project such as a tote bag or simple top. If you have your own machine, bring it to class! Otherwise, you can use one of ours.

Small hems are narrow finishes used in garments when the hem is meant to be a subtle detail, the fabric is lightweight and /or sheer, or the hem shows on the outside of the garment. In this tutorial, you will learn how to sew zigzag, triple stitched, baby, faux piped and doublefold hems. This class is very beginner friendly, but is also great for those who have some sewing know-how and want to learn a few fundamentals of patternmaking and accurate fitting.

Button holes are a scary things for some sewers. I understand why. You can come and take a class. We will teach you how to create button holes with your machine or our machines. Beginners to seasoned stitchers are welcome to take this class, so no experience of dressmaking is required but you do need to know how to use a sewing machine.
